For All Of You Twitter Haters Out There..

I am recently reading more and more articles about why Twitter is not such a waste of time after all.

I have had some difficulties convincing my friends here, that Twitter is not all about people letting the whole world know that they are currently sitting in the bathroom tweeting…
If that was the case, why would all the big blogs and newspapers bother to tweet?

These articles are confirming my view about Twitter, for instance, if you want to widen your network, there is no faster or better way than Twitter.

You can read one of the articles here.

Guns & Ammo Blogs About Children and Arms

Guns & Ammo also blogs, and they have a post from August 17, 2007 where they write about children and arms.
I don’t know if it is because I am living in Europe and therefore not used to idea of carrying guns. But as I read this I lost my words!
I just don’t get it…

Here are some quotes from the article:

“Given proper training with a firearm they can handle easily, children can learn to shoot well at an early age. It is important to instill the basics of firearm safety in them from the start and, of course, hearing and eye protection are a must.”

“When the child is ready to move up from a pellet gun to a .22, make it an event. Take the whole family to the range and first have the child qualify with their pellet gun by setting up a simple test of proficiency you’re sure they can pass. Then hand them the .22 as if presenting an Oscar and share the warm sense of accomplishment.”

And then pictures like these:
