Now, how on earth will I be able to see your website if you resize my window to that size??

My list of websites I am not visiting because of this behavior is forever growing.
My screen estate is carefully planned and I like my window sizes. Thank.you.very.much.

Slowly Facebook IS turning into the new Myspace.
I have been reading several blogposts about people being spammed on Facebook lately, and then today it came around knocking on my door as well.

I received a friends request from a guy calling himself Ryan Attwell .. never heard of him.
I went to check out his profile and noticed that his pictures was part of his public profile. Strange, I thought.

Then I took a closer look at the pictures and found that he had 13 albums of “designer” handbags. Strange again, I thought. This guy does not look like someone who would put his all his designer handbags on display.

But then when I took a closer look at the pictures I noticed that they had an URL written all over them .. which, surprise surprise!, would take me to a site selling fake designer stuff.

I assume that Zuckerberg’s world reign will never happen by the way things are going.
Spam is no longer just a part of the oh-so-lovely 3rd party applications like Funwall and Superwall, but is now also part of the Facebook platform itself.
The fun ended before it really begun..

A group of kids (elementary school) has formed a “mini-laptop-club”, where they draw their own laptops and pretend to email each other.
Their designs really blew my mind and made me start thinking about how a computer keyboard might look like in the future..

I am recently reading more and more articles about why Twitter is not such a waste of time after all.

I have had some difficulties convincing my friends here, that Twitter is not all about people letting the whole world know that they are currently sitting in the bathroom tweeting…
If that was the case, why would all the big blogs and newspapers bother to tweet?

These articles are confirming my view about Twitter, for instance, if you want to widen your network, there is no faster or better way than Twitter.

Guns & Ammo also blogs, and they have a post from August 17, 2007 where they write about children and arms.
I don’t know if it is because I am living in Europe and therefore not used to idea of carrying guns. But as I read this I lost my words!
I just don’t get it…

Sometimes (more and more often actually) I feel like I am living on the wrong continent..
The first time this thought really hit me was 5 months ago, when one of my favourite services on the internet, Pandora was forced to shut off the site to non-US members.

Today the Pandora founder Tim Westergren writes:
“As it stands now, there is still no affordable license for a webcaster to stream legally (ie. abiding by all standing copyright law and properly compensating performers and composers) anywhere outside the US.”

..meaning .. still no solution to the problem … *biggest sigh ever*
